The Salmon Garden Club met at the Rose Garden in City Park to fertilize and spread mulch around all the plants. It is certainly looking lovely. The old wooden sign has been taken away, and only the rock with the name that Roger Greiner made remains. We had a wonderful potluck after all our labor, and welcomed two new members.
Some members of the Garden Club met with Steve Love, Katie Cooper's AG class, Shannon Williams, a county extension agent, and a VISTA volunteer at the Rose Garden on May 1st. On the agenda was pruning the rose bushes, and doing a general clean-up.
The Garden Club had a great meeting on the 3rd of April. We had two speakers, Sadie Barrett and Tawna Skinner, who shared their knowledge of gardening, and the update on the heritage trees for the valley. It is getting that time of year to begin preparing for the gardens and lovely flowers for the summer. Good luck to All.
