Chinook Fishing to Close July 15 on Lower Salmon and Little Salmon Rivers

Fishing for Chinook salmon on the Lower Salmon River and the Little Salmon River will close Sunday, July 15, one hour after sunset.

The collection of broodstock at the Rapid River hatchery is behind schedule. To increase the likelihood of collecting enough broodstock for full production at Rapid River Hatchery, fishery managers decided to close the fishery.

Fishing for Chinook salmon on these two rivers will close at the end of fishing hours, Sunday, July 15, 2012.
