Salmon River Days Schedule Changes


· The Quilt Show is Thursday and Friday, not Saturday.


· Playdays is Thursday night, not Friday night as seen in the newspaper


· The Boat races have been cancelled Sunday due to high water

Chinook Season: Limit Changed

The change affects the season in the Upper Salmon River from the city of Salmon upstream to the mouth of the Pahsimeroi River, and it allows anglers to keep Chinook salmon less than 24 inches total length. [more]

 
Road Closures Planned near Leadore

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Salmon Field Office is conducting road maintenance activities along the Eighteenmile and McFarland Boulevard roads located approximately 15 miles south of Leadore, Idaho. Work will continue on these roads through July 4, 2009. LemhiWeb celebrates their first year.

It is a bittersweet time for LemhiWeb. As we celebrate our accomplishments and look to the future, we are also ending the year in grief at the loss of Reg Blauser’s husband David. Part of the last conversation I had with him included his apology to me about Reg not being able to help with the site due to the trips to Missoula dealing with his illness. That was the kind of man he was. In his short few years in Salmon he was an intelligent, competent, considerate, compassionate, and energetic volunteer in our community. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

This time last year we officially started LemhiWeb with several immediate objectives. The foremost one was the ability to have a long-range calendar. This would help with groups trying to schedule events and meetings. With the help from the Extension Office we launched an email blitz to fill up that calendar. We were successful!
