Dale Peterson steps down as P&Z chairman

After 14 years on Lemhi County’s Planning and Zoning Commission, and 11 years as Chariman, Dale Peterson from Leadore turned the reins over to Roy Barrett, but stays on as a member. “ I would like to thank Dale for his many years of service as chairman. Eligibility for Federal Jobless Benefits, $25 Supplement Extended

Eligibility for extended federal unemployment benefits and the $25 weekly benefit supplement has been restored to Idaho workers through April 3. The legislation approved by Congress and signed by President Obama does not increase benefits but only extends for another month eligibility of current claimants to qualify for the various tiers of extended benefits financed by the federal government. The extensions have added up to 73 weeks of benefits to the regular benefit maximum of 26 weeks.

Locals receive marketing training

The University of Idaho Extension and Horizons presented “Marketing Your Community” training Saturday, March 6th in Twin Falls. Fifteen of the Horizons communities were represented. Barbara Miller, Salmon Valley Steering Committee chairperson and Judy Barkley, City of Salmon Recreation/Community Development Director attended the training.

We’re on the right” a little too vague, especially in the dark? Then you might like to try out the 911 system of directions to any road in Lemhi County.
